I don’t know about you guys, but when new homeschool curriculum arrives, it’s pretty much like Christmas. PRESENTS!!!!! Nancy Larson sent us Science 1 [see disclosure] which covers anatomy, life stages, biology, entomology and more. We haven’t done a formal curriculum for science in our first couple years of homeschooling. I’m horrible at remembering to get things to do experiments…and honestly, if it’s not all packaged for me, it’s not going to get done. I’m not like that with any other subject. I LOVE science, the kids do as well, but I just can’t get it together. I mean, I have three kids, we’re lucky if I brush my hair 42% of the time.
I’m going to be reviewing this awesome curriculum for Nancy Larson and post photos, what we honestly think and some short videos so you can see how the lessons go. I love reading review posts when I’m trying to figure out if something will be the right fit for us, but videos are my new favorite. I am often up late watching videos on YouTube on curriculum. Yes, I am a curriculum research junkie…
The three kids and I nearly trampled the UPS dude for our science box [ #Nerds ]. He was witness to our excitement for school stuff and probably thinks we’re quite odd. But he’s new so…he doesn’t know us yet. We get way weirder. DON’T FORGET to sign up for our weekly Salty Tribe newsletter so you don’t miss all of the weirdness radness.
There’s another video below these pictures that go over a little bit more with the contents of the Nancy Larson Science 1 Complete Kit. My kids can hardly keep their hands off of the contents and are SO STOKED to start school ASAP. Of course this is our first year ever not going year round, so they’ll have to wait until September before we get started!
Included are vouchers for the caterpillars for the Butterfly Garden, and one to send for the ladybugs.
Check it out!
